some things i have learned while following my enthusiasms: 1.) the more I create, the more inspired I am. 2.) it can be intimidating to share art and original ideas but creativity takes courage. 3.) have that courage.

my vision for the katejoymcd blog involves artistic adventures that will teach me what I like ...and don't like, what I am good at ...and bad at. adventures that will help sharpen my skill set for that dream job. i want to take a stab at delicious-looking food typography, fill sketchbook after sketchbook to help refine my hand lettering, discover what art direction is all about and the role it plays in the world of social media. heck, maybe i also want to explore the magic of videography. basically, it's gonna be a creative free-for-all, full of the distant ideas and dreams that have been tugging at my heart for quite a while now.
